You know, there are some things you just don’t think about.
When we first moved here, the laundry room was white – everywhere. Walls, trim,
shelves, washer, dryer. I never really thought about it.
But since Randy was painting the kitchen, dining room and
family room - it just seemed right to also paint the laundry room, which he did last weekend. I love the
end result. It actually seems like a room now, instead of just some place that
we walk through on our way to and from my mom’s room. He painted the walls the same gray that we did in the
kitchen/dining/family rooms and I got a picture from the Deseret Industries to
hang where I had my white board (that I used a lot when I had kids around,
but haven’t touched for awhile). The pictures don't seem to do it justice, but here they are, anyway.

One kind of humorous story that goes with this: As I was
sweeping behind the washer and dryer since Randy had them pushed out to paint
the walls, I hit my head on the corner of the shelves. At first I thought I had
just banged it real hard. But, then the drops of blood started coming and Randy
had to get me a couple of paper towels and ice to press on it. I was bleeding
like a “stuck pig.” Or, if you’ve never heard that saying, I was bleeding profusely. I will spare you any
pictures. My hair was pretty red on one side, which Randy said just looked
natural! Anyway, I had a headache for most of the night and the next morning –
but I lived. :)
